The International make-up brand Max Factor is proud to announce that the third SA Elle Max Factor brand ambassador and make-up artist for 2011 is Zakhele Mhlongo. Mhlongo is a young talent with fresh innovation, proving him to be a worthy make-up artist and brand ambassador for MAX FACTOR.

The Elle Max Factor Make-up Talent Search competition creates a platform for aspiring make-up artists to jumpstart their careers. Seven very talented make-up artist finalists were hard at work showcasing their talent on their models yesterday at Idasa Building in CapeTown. Each finalist was given a make-up trend to complete in 30 minutes and the winner deservingly took all in the end. The panel of judges included renowned make-up artist Algria Ferreira, ELLE beauty editor Lynette Botha, ELLE's senior fashion editor Poppy Evans and representing Max Factor, Thea Guthrie.

The 26 year old Durbanite, Mhlongo is a vibrant, skilled and passionate make-up artist who was thrilled to have been awarded as overall winner. Mhlongo is a freelance make-up artist and looks forward to his career as an award winning make-up artist. "I am absolutely overjoyed and thank Max Factor and Elle Magazine for awarding me this opportunity and delighted to be represent Max Factor", said Mhlongo.

"To be a Max Factor Brand ambassador you need to have the relevant experience, technique and creative input," says Thea Guthrie, Max Factor Brand Manager. "We certainly found that in Zakhele, he embodies the attributes and talent required of a make-up brand ambassador.

Mhlongo will jet off to Las Vegas to attend the annual MAX FACTOR conference later this year. He will also spend the next year travelling around the country promoting the brand and gaining invaluable experience and exposure.
